Our History
Alfatex Bersini was founded in 1978 in Romentino, Italy.
A great technical background, along with the creativity and passion of founder Virgilio Bersini, allowed Alfatex to grow throughout the years and internationally establish its brand, which is now recognised as a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and excellence. Today Virgilio’s heirs are managing the company: Luca, head of the styling department; Simona, head of the sales department. A steady growth and a consistent pursuit of excellence have been the basis for the company’s development.

Our fabrics are designed and manufactured in our production plant in Italy with state-of-the-art looms and a modern multi-functional warping machine. An efficient and flexible production structure, able to manufacture unique and exclusive fabrics. An uncompromised search for perfection: we start with a careful selection of the best raw materials and we monitor every single phase of the production cycle. Every variation undergoes a strict quality control. All the production phases are carried out exclusively in Italy and our products hold a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification.
An extensive archive
The historical archive, made up of over 100 volumes, allows us to look back at decades of our history and is still a great source of inspiration, an invaluable bridge between the past and the future.
Alfatex Bersini has displayed a wide range of fabric’s types (popeline, twill, oxford, batista…) in different fibre counts, starting from the 80/2 one to the 200/2, one of the best count of yarn.
